这件作品是关于通过火焰将植物体内金属元素显影。富含重金属的植物灰在高温成釉后,将呈现出不同的颜色,这些色彩便是金属元素的足迹。
环境和生物体是相互联系的,环境的信息通过河流和土壤的流动在植物上留下了印记。例如:一些植物对金属元素的富集偏好让我们可以从植物里窥探到环境的真实状态。在这项工作中,将超富集的植物制成灰烬釉,然后将釉料涂在植物的形状的瓷片上。植物体内无形的存在便可以由釉面颜色的形式呈出,釉的颜色有的像枯叶、有的像嫩芽,这皆是由植物灰的金属成分决定的。
This work is about the visualization of metallic elements in plants through flames. The heavy metal-rich plant ash is glazed at high temperatures and will take on different colors, and these colors are the footprints of the metal elements.
The environment and the organism are interconnected, and the information of the environment leaves its mark on the plants through the flow of rivers and soil. For example, the enrichment preferences of some plants for metal elements allow us to peek into the plants to see the real state of the environment. In this work, super-enriched plants are made into an ash glaze and then the glaze is applied to a porcelain tile in the shape of the plant. The invisible presence in the plant can then be presented in the form of the color of the glaze, which can look like dead leaves or young shoots, all determined by the metallic composition of the plant ash.
